초록
A component of organic farming is green manuring, and the application of green manure can preserve biodiversity, improve soil health and sustain agricultural production. The objective of this study was to evaluate the utility of native legumes which are soybean, red bean, cowpea and mung bean as a summer green manure crop. In order to screen the best native legumes, we investigated the biomass yield, C/N ratio, and estimated soil macronutrient supply. In addition, we analysed soil chemical properties and enzyme activity changes after soil incoporation of the best legumes (namdojangkong, ahjukkaribamkong) for determining decomposition of plant residues and soil fertility improvement effect. The obtained results were summarized as follows. The green manure yield that has 8.0 Mg․ha-1 or more was the highest in namdojangkong which supplied 12.81 Mg․ha-1 in soil, followed by ahjukkaribamkong 8.73 Mg․ha-1, cheongpat 8.06 Mg․ha-1. The C/N ratio of native legumes was 14.1 to 21.6%, which was lower than 25%, and the soil supply of NPK fertilizers was highest in namdojangkong (282-77-397 kg․ha-1), and was lowest in nohrangnokdu (72-20-130 kg․ha-1) and jaeraenokdu (72-15-125 kg․ha-1) (p<0.05). As a result of incorporation in soil of selecting the top two species (namdojangkong, ahjukkaribamkong), the soil enzyme activity and chemical properties showed significant changes compared to before soil incorporation (p<0.05). Specially, the content of organic matter, total nitrogen, avalable P2O5, and K2O in the soil was the highest 20 days after incorporation compared to before incorporation (p<0.05). In conclusion, namdojangkong and ahjukkaribamkong are expected to be high value as summer green manure crops due to excellent green manure yield, and rapid decomposition of plant residues and macronutrient supply around 20 days.
