초록
This study was conducted to utilize screen nets and light traps as physical methods for the organic management of Spodoptera litura Fabricius, a major pest of tomato. In a 30×30×30 cm insect breeding cage, 70.0 and 74.0% of S. litura adults passed through 15×15 and 7.5×6 mm size nets, respectively, but none passed through a 5.8×4 mm net. In a 100×100×300 cm screen cage, 55.2% of S. litura adults moved to other side of the cage without net, while 27.2% passed through 7.5×6 mm net, confirming the movement blocking effect of net. 7.5×6 mm size screen net and light trap did not effect on temperature and humidity in 1,000 m2 tomato farm green house. In the treatment greenhouse with screens net and light traps, the number of damaged fruits by S. litura was 0.1 and 0.3 per day on average in 2010 and 2011, respectively, which was less than 3.6 and 1.7 in the control greenhouse. When two light traps were installed in a 700 m2 greenhouse with 5.8×4 mm screen net, the average number of damaged fruits was 0.8, which was less than 2.6 in the greenhouse with one light trap and 3.9 in the greenhouse with only screen net.
