미술치료가 유아의 모자분리불안해소 및 문제행동 개선에 미치는 효과

본 연구는 불리불안으로 인하여 어머니와 전혀 분리가 되지 않고 있는 유아의 분리불안 해소와 문제행동 개선을 위한 연구로 미술치료를 실시하여 그 효과를 살펴보았다. 연구대상은 소아 정신과에서 분리불안 진단을 받은 유아로 신체적으로는 이상이 없으나 분리가 예상되는 상황에서 배가 아프다며 신체적 통증을 호소하고 어머니에게 울고 떼쓰며 매달리는 만 24개월의 유아에게 주 1회씩 23주 동안 미술치료를 적용하였다. 유아에게 다양한 미술매체를 이용하여 미술치료를 실시하고 어머니에게는 회기 진행 후 상담을 실시하여 그 효과를 살펴보고자 하였다. 프로그램의 효과를 알아보기 위한 측정도구로는 모자 분리불안척도와 행동 관찰지를 사용하였으며 사전, 사후와 치료종료 1개월 후를 비교하여 분리불안의 해소와 문제행동의 변화를 살펴보았다. 또한 회기별 진행과정을 통하여 그 변화를 살펴보았다. 본 연구를 통한 결론은 미술치료가 유아의 분리불안 해소 및 문제행동을 개선시키는데 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

Abstract

In this study, art therapy was given to identify its effect on infants' separation anxiety solution and improvement in problem behaviors. The subject of this study was a 24-month-old female infant whose case was diagnosed as attachment disorder and separation anxiety disorder by a specialist in child psychiatry and fit the diagnostic criteria of separation anxiety disorder in DSM-IV(Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders - Fourth Edition). In this study aimed at solve separation anxiety and improve problem behaviors, the mother and the infant were asked to participate in art therapy sessions with a variety of art media, and after a series of sessions, counseling was given to the mother, using Separation Anxiety Test and Problem Behavior Test Sheet. The major study results were as follows: First, the result of changes in separation anxiety according to Separation Anxiety Test indicated that both the mother and the infant showed significant improvement in separation anxiety criteria. Thus, art therapy was effective in solving separation anxiety. Second, the result of changes in problem behaviors according to Problem Behavior Test Sheet revealed that out of 10 problem behaviors, 7 problem behaviors were gone and 3 problem behaviors decreased. Therefore, art therapy had an effect on changes in the problem behaviors of the subject who had various problem behaviors. Third, the result of observing changes by session demonstrated that the infant who had showed anxious and psychological dwarfed before session became stable and came to accept separation from mother session by session. Thus, art therapy brought many changes to the subject in its process by session. Therefore, it can be said that art therapy have an effect on infants' separation anxiety solution and improvement in problem behavior and has great values to be used as a strategy for separation anxiety treatment.
