근거이론을 바탕으로 살펴본 특수교사의 내용교과 교수적 수정 과정에 대한 경험적 인식

연구목적: 이 연구에서는 사회과와 과학과의 교수적 수정과정에서 특수교사들의 경험과 과정을 알아보고 교수적 수정이 특수교육의 보편성과 특수성 차원에서 어떠한 영향을 받고 미치는지에 대해 살펴보았다. 연구방법: 연구문제에 보다 포괄적으로 이해, 접근하기 위해 Strauss와 Corbin(1998)의 근거이론 방법을 적용하였다. 근거이론의 연구방법은 연구문제 설정, 연구대상자 확정, 문헌고찰, 자료 수집, 부호화 과정, 이론 구축의 절차를 따랐다. 연구 참여자는 「장애학생 통합교육 교수․학습자료」의 사회과, 과학과 집필에 참여한 12명의 특수교사를 대상으로 하였다. 연구결과 및 결론: 연구 참여자와의 면담을 통해 얻은 자료를 기반으로 지속적인 질문과 비교분 석의 절차를 통해 밝혀진 개념을 명명하고 유사한 개념끼리 묶어 추상화하여 범주화시킨 결과, 147개의 개념과 36개의 하위범주 및 14개의 범주를 발견하였다. 내용교과에 대한 특수교사의 교 수적 수정 노력과 이로 인한 장애학생의 수업참여를 이끄는 인과적 조건은 ‘교수적 수정 주체 간 역할 규명’과 ‘기울어진 관계’인 것으로 나타났으며, 이에 대한 맥락적 조건은 ‘상황적 한계: 혼자 는 불가능’, ‘학교의 변화 시작’, ‘내용교과의 특수성’인 것으로 나타났다. 특수교사가 내용교과의 교수적 수정에서 겪는 중심현상은 ‘교수적 수정 노력’, ‘장애학생의 수업 참여’인 것으로 나타났으 며, 중재적 조건으로 ‘특수교사와 일반교사의 협력 제도화’, ‘교육과정 재구성을 향한 학교 여건의 변화’, ‘인적 자원의 확충’이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 연구 참여자가 사용한 작용/상호작용 전략은 ‘접근 방법의 다양화 및 교수적 수정을 통한 일반교육과정 접근’, ‘문제해결적 접근’, ‘질 높은 교수 적 수정 자료의 제공’으로 나타났으며, 이를 통해 결과적으로 ‘통합교육의 정착 및 교사 성장’이 나타났다.
Abstract
Purpose: This study investigates the experiences and processes of special education teachers on the social studies and science how the instructional adaptation is implemented. Strauss and Corbin (1998) 's ground theory method was applied to understand and approach the research problem more comprehensively. Method: The research method of Ground theory followed the procedure of research establishment, study subject determination, literature review, data collection, encoding process, theory construction. The study participants included 12 special education teachers who participated in the social studies and science department writings of 「Teaching and Learning Materials for Students with Disabilities」 by Korea National Institute for Special Education. Results & Conclusion: We found 147 concepts, 36 subcategories, and 14 categories. The cause of the teacher's pedagogical correction of the content subjects and the causal events that led to the participation of students with disabilities were the ‘identifying roles between pedagogical actors` and the ‘a slanted relationship'. The conditions were found to be ‘situational limits: not alone', ‘school changes' and ’specificity of content subjects'. The main phenomena that special teachers experience in instructional adaptation of content subjects are ‘instructional adaptation efforts' and ’participation of students with disabilities' classes, and 'intermediate cooperation between special education teachers and general teachers' and ‘changes in school conditions’ and ‘expansion of human resources’ are needed. The action / interaction strategies used by the participants were found to be ‘general curriculum approach through diversification of approaches and instructional strategies', 'problem solving approach', and ‘providing high quality instructional adaptation'. This resulted in the establishment of integrated education and teacher growth.
