본 연구는 계획된 행동이론(Theory of Planned Behavior)을 적용하여 음주에 대한 태도, 개인이 인식한 주관적 준거, 인지된 행동통제가 여자청소년의 음주의도에 어떠한 영향을 주는지 파악하여, 여자청소년 음주의도를 예측할 수 있는 변수를 밝히고 여자청소년 음주에 대한 체계적이고 차별화된 개입 및 음주예방 프로그램 개발을 위한 이론적 기반을 제공하고자 했다. 이를 위해 서울시 중고등학교 여학생들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 최종 604명을 분석대상으로 포함하였다. 구조방정식모형 분석 결과 음주행동에 대한 태도, 음주에 대한 주관적 규범, 인지된 행동통제가 음주의도에 이르는 경로는 모두 통계적으로 유의미함이 증명되었으며, 계획된 행동이론이 여자청소년의 음주의도를 설명하기에 적합하다는 것이 검증되었다. 세 가지 경로 중 음주행동에 대한 태도가 가장 큰 영향력을 보여주었으며, 태도를 측정한 문항별로 영향력을 살펴보면 ‘현명함, 바람직함, 가치있음’과 관련된 문항이 중요한 요인임이 발견되었다. 주관적 규범에 관련된 문항을 각각 분석한 결과 형제자매가 여자청소년들의 음주규범에 가장 큰 영향력을 행사하는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 인지된 행동통제를 측정한 3개의 문항 중 주변상황을 고려할 때 술 마시기 쉬운 환경이 가장 많은 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 여자청소년들이 자신의 음주를 통제할 때 주변 음주환경의 영향을 많이 받는다고 해석할 수 있으며, 향후 음주환경에 대한 심도 있는 연구가 이뤄져야 함을 시사하는 것이다. 본 연구의 결과는 여자청소년들의 음주의도에 대한 이론적 기반을 확인했으며, 음주예방프로그램 혹은 금주프로그램에서 중요하게 다뤄야 할 요소들을 제시하는데 기여하였다.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to test the Theory of Planned Behavior in examining female adolescents' drinking intentions. The three components of the theory, namely, attitude toward drinking, subjective norm, and perceived behavior control were examined in relation to one's drinking intentions. Data from a total of 604 female adolescents from 5 different junior high and high schools in Seoul were collected. Results from structural equation modeling indicated that all paths from attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control to drinking intentions were significant, rendering the theory applicable for explaining female adolescents' drinking intentions. Among three paths, attitude toward drinking was found to be the most influential. Within subjective norm, siblings' norm was most influential in participants' subjective norms. Lastly, permissive environment was most influential for female adolescents' perceived behavioral control. Several meaningful implications for prevention programs in the school setting are discussed.
