미용전공 고등학생의 외모 만족도와 세부전공 선택에 관한 연구

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to prepare the helpful basic data for student guidance, finding out the students' appearance satisfaction and how their appearance influence on their future jobs for beauty work, whether they did preceeding study or not before entrance of high school, when the best time is to select the detail majors among hair, skin, make-up, nail art fields. The principal method of the study was questionnaire. The objects of this study are 500 hundreds students who are in the beauty high school located in Kangwon-do, Jeonnam-do, Incheon-shi, Chungnam-do and Chungbug-do. The main results obtained were as follows: 1. Relationships between appearance satisfaction and the major have an effect on their choice of the detail majors. Some of them don't satisfy their appearance and they want to operate on cosmetic surgery if possible. This shows the beauty high school students are concerned about their appearance and answered in the affirmative for the surgery. 2. They think the best times to choose the detail majors are the end of a school term in the first grade and the second grade. Half of the students chose their majors in that time. The other students put off their choice for some reasons. And most of them chose the Hair field. This study suggest indirectly that activation in the industrial scene will play an important role in the students' future jobs. Finally, the present writers have commented some proposals and limit points about students' appearance satisfaction and choice of the detail majors.
