불확실성에 대한 인내력 부족이 대학생의 사회불안에 미치는 영향에서 완벽주의의 매개효과

초록

본 연구는 대학생의 사회불안에 영향을 미치는 다차원적인 변인을 탐색하고 사회불안수준과 불확실성에 대한 인내력 부족을 낮추기 위한 상담 및 치료적 개입 시 도움이 될 수 있는 기초자료를 마련하기 위한 목적으로 실시되었다. 이를 위해 대학생의 사회불안에 영향을 미치는 성격적 특성을 불확실성에 대한 인내력 부족으로 상정하고 심리적 변인과 관련하여 최근 주목받고 있는 완벽주의를 매개변인으로 하여 매개효과를 검증하였다. 연구의 대상은 수도권 일부 지역과 전라․충청 지역의 대학생 623명을 대상으로 하였으며, 구조방정식 모형으로 분석하였으며, Bootstrapping을 이용하여 매개효과를 검증하였다. 연구의 주요결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대학생의 불확실성에 대한 인내력 부족은 사회불안에 정적(+)인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 대학생의 불확실성에 대한 인내력 부족은 완벽주의에 정적(+)인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 대학생의 완벽주의 성향은 사회불안에 정적(+)인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 대학생의 불확실성에 대한 인내력 부족은 완벽주의를 매개로 사회불안에 정적(+)인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 대학생의 불확실성에 대한 인내력 부족 수준이 높을수록 완벽주의 성향이 강해져 사회불안 수준이 높아짐을 의미한다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 대학생의 사회불안에 대한 이해를 높이고 다양한 상담 장면에서 활용될 수 있음을 논의하였다.

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of exploring multidimensional variables affecting social avoidance in college students and preparing basic data that could help in consultation and therapeutic intervention to reduce the lack of patience for social anxiety levels and intolerance of uncertainties. To this end, the character characteristic that affects the social avoidance of college students was assumed to be lacking in patience for uncertainty, and the parametric effect was verified by using the recently watched perfectionism in relation to psychological variables. The subjects of the study were 623 college students from some areas of the Seoul metropolitan area and Jeolla and Chungcheong provinces, analyzed with a structural equation model, and verified the medium effect using Bootstraping. The main results of the study are as follows: First, the lack of patience with the uncertainty of college students has been shown to have a static impact on social avoidance. Second, the lack of patience with the uncertainty of college students has been shown to have a static impact on perfectionism. Third, the tendency of university students to perfectionism has a static impact on social avoidance. Fourth, the lack of patience with the uncertainty of university students has been shown to have a static impact on social avoidance by using perfectionism as a medium. This means that the higher the level of tolerance for uncertainty in college students, the stronger the tendency of perfectionism, and the higher the level of social avoidance. Based on these research results, they discussed that they can be used in various counseling scenes to enhance understanding of social avoidance among university students.
