여대생의 성역할정체감 유형에 따른 진로탐색효능감 및 진로준비행동의 차이 연구

본 연구에서는 여성의 진로발달을 이해하고 진로상담과 교육에 적용하기 위하여, 여대생의 성역할정체감의 각 유형별로 진로탐색효능감과 진로준비행동의 차이를 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 서울소재 2개 학교를 대상으로 하여 445명의 여대생을 표집하였고, 성역할정체감 척도, 진로탐색효능감 척도, 진로준비행동 척도를 사용하여 조사를 실시하였다. 그 결과, 유형별 분포는 양성성 유형의 여성이 가장 많았고, 그 다음으로 여성성, 미분화, 남성성 순이었다. 유형별 진로탐색효능감의 차이를 살펴본 결과, 양성성 유형이 가장 높은 효능감을 보였고, 미분화 유형이 가장 낮았다. 이러한 결과로 볼 때, 양성성 유형의 사람들이 사회적 역할에 대하여 여성 대 남성이라는 고정된 성역할에 상관없이, 자신에게 주어지거나 이루고자 하는 역할에 대하여 탄력적으로 적응한다고 볼 수 있다. 진로탐색효능감의 각 하위요인별로 성역할정체감의 유형별 순위를 살펴보면, 직업탐색효능감은 양성성>여성성=남성성>미분화, 면접효능감은 양성성=여성성>남성성>미분화, 관계구축효능감은 양성성>남성성>여성성>미분화, 마지막으로 개인적탐색효능감은 양성성=남성성>여성성>미분화 순으로 나타났다. 이렇게 양성성과 남성성 유형이 각 하위유형에서 높은 효능감을 보였는데, 면접효능감 하위요인에서는 여성성 유형이 남성성보다 높은 점수를 보였다. 이는 현대 산업사회의 패러다임이 여성적인 감성과 공감능력을 중시하는 방향으로 전개되고 있으므로 앞으로는 선행연구에서 진로탐색에 열등기능으로 여겨졌던 여성성에 대하여 주목하여 연구할 필요가 있다. 진로준비행동은 남성성 유형이 가장 높은 점수를 보였다. 이러한 결과는 남성성 유형의 여성들이 진로탐색의 과업을 수행할 때, 탐색의 단계에 머물러있기 보다는 실제로 실행에 옮기고 있다는 것을 알 수 있다. 본 연구 결과를 토대로, 향후 여성의 진로상담과 교육에 있어서 성역할정체감의 각 유형별로 어디에 주안점을 두어야 하는지를 모색해보는 연구가 후속되기를 기대한다.
Abstract
The purpose of the study is to confirm the differences in the Career Search Self-Efficacy and Career Preparation Behavior by gender role identity. Through this, it tried to seek for an appropriate counseling strategy for individual characteristics and circumstances in actual career counseling and education. Korean female college students were selected as the target of the research. For data collection, samples from 4-year universities were secured, and with the data of 445 female college students. Research tools such as Korean Sex Role Inventory, Career Search Efficacy Scale, and Career Preparation Behavior Inventory were used. The results of the research following this are as follows: First, gender role identity made significant difference in the career search self-efficacy and career preparation behavior. Second, androgyny type showed most highest career search self-efficacy. Third, masculinity type showed most highest career preparation behavior. It is suggested that, based on the results of this study, follow-up researches developing and applying differential counseling programs for each category of gender role identity and verifying the effects should be done.
