연구목적: 본 연구는 특수교사들의 2011 특수교육 기본 교육과정 중·고등학교 사회과 역사영역 지도 경험과 인식을 알아보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구방법: 특수학급 및 특수학교에 재직 중인 사회과 수업을 담당하는 중등 특수교사 8명을 연구대상으로 하여 4명씩 두 개의 그룹으로 나누어 포커스 그룹 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 연구결과: 2011 특수교육 기본 교육과정 사회과 역사영역에 대한 특수교사들의 인식은 3개의 범주, 8개의 하위범주로 나타났다. 논의 및 제언: 첫째, 교사들은 강의식, 주제중심, 현장체험학습 등 다양한 교수·학습 방법을 사용하여 장애학생들에게 역사를 가르치고 있었다. 둘째, 교수자료에 대해 교사들은 상반된 의견을 나타냈다. 셋째, 역사 교육과정의 내용 수준과 범위에 대한 개선이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 교사들은 새롭게 포함된 세계사에 대해 부정적으로 인식하고 있었다.
Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to look into the teaching experience and perception of special education teachers on the history section of social studies in the 2011 special education basic curriculum in middle and high schools. Method: 8 middle and high special education teachers in charge of social studies in special classes and special schools were divided into two groups and focus group interviews were conducted. Results: After collected data were analyzed, 3 categories and 8 subcategories were found. Discussion: First, teachers were teaching history to students with disabilities using various teaching and learning methods. Second, teachers showed conflicting opinions regarding the teaching materials. Third, the content level and coverage of the history educational course showed a need for improvement. In particular, teachers had negative perception of the newly included world history section.
