연구목적: 본 연구는 발달장애인가족을 대상으로 가족기능의 특징과 가족기능이 양육부담에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구방법: 본 연구는 경상남도에 거주하고 있는 장애인복지관, 장애인가족지원센터, 경남장애인부모회 등을 이용하고 있는 발달장애인가족을 대상으로 636부의 자료를 최종분석에 활용하였다. 연구결과: 첫째, 본 연구의 주요 변인들의 기술통계를 통하여, 양육부담과 가족기능의 특성을 살펴보았다. 분석결과 가족기능의 균형요인이 불균형요인보다 높은 평균을 보였으며, 응집성 비율, 유연성 비율, 총률 등도 1점을 상회하여 균형요인이 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 발달장애인의 생애주기에 따른 가족기능은 균형요인은 모두 차이를 보였으며, 불균형요인에서는 경직요인이 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 섯째, 장애인의 인구통계학적 중 타인의 도움정도와 가족기능 하위영역 수준에 따라 분류한 집단 간에 양육부담이 차이를 보였다. 넷째, 가족기능이 양육부담에 미치는 영향에서는 균형요인은 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않았으며, 불균형요인에서 밀착, 분리, 혼란이 유의미한 영향력을 미쳤으며, 상대적인 영향력에서는 분리가 가장 높았다. 결론: 이와 같은 결과에 바탕을 두고, 가족기능의 중요성과 양육부담을 감소시키기 위한 방안을 논의하였다.
Abstract
Purpose: The present study aimed to examine characteristics of family functioning and the effects of family functioning on burden perceived by families of children with developmental disabilities. Method: Descriptive statistics, corelation, and multiple regression analyses were performed using data collected from 636 parents of children with developmental disabilities. Results: (1) The mean score for factors associated with balanced family functioning was higher than the unbalanced, (2) there was statistically significant difference among preschool-age, school-age and adult group in the dimensions of balanced cohesion, balanced flexibility and rigid, (3) there was significant difference according to the degree of others help in terms of parenting burden, (4) the dimensions of enmeshed, disengaged, chaotic came out to be factors that have significant effects on parenting burden. Conclusion: The implications of this study and practical suggestions for families of disabled children with developmental disabilities were presented.
