진로성숙도의 발달궤적에 따른 잠재계층 분류 및 영향 요인 탐색

초록

본 연구는 진로성숙도의 발달궤적에 따른 잠재계층을 유형화하고 분류된 잠재계층에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 탐색하였다. 분석자료는 한국고용정보원의 청년패널(Youth Panel) 자료 중 2차년도 기준 고등학교 1학년 학생 762명을 대상으로 7개년 자료를 활용하여 성장혼합모형을 적용하였다. 첫째, 성장혼합모형 분석 결과, 진로성숙도의 발달궤적에 따라 ‘증가(39.8%)’계층, ‘중간수준유지(25.7%)’계층, ‘고수준유지(19.3%)’계층, ‘감소(15.2%)’계층을 포함하여 4개 잠재계층이 분류되었다. 둘째, 다항 로지스틱 회귀분석을 통해 잠재계층별 관련 변인과의 영향력을 확인하였다. 잠재계층 유형 분류에는 성별, 학업성취도, 교우관계 만족도, 어머니의 진로관심이 유의미한 영향을 미쳤다. 성별의 경우 여학생이 남학생보다 ‘증가수준유지’집단 대비 ‘증가’집단 또는 ‘고수준유지’집단에 속할 확률이 높았으며, ‘증가’집단보다 ‘고수준유지’집단에 속할 확률이 높았다. 또한 학업성취도가 높은 학생일수록 ‘중간수준유지’집단과 비교하여 ‘고수준유지’집단 또는 ‘감소’집단에 속할 확률이 높게 나타났다. ‘증가’집단을 참조집단으로 비교했을 때 ‘고수준유지’집단 또는 ‘감소’집단에 속할 확률이 높았다. 교우관계의 만족도가 높을수록 진로성숙도가 ‘중간수준유지’인 집단과 비교하여 ‘증가’집단 또는 ‘고수준유지’집단에 속할 확률이 높았으며, ‘감소’집단과 비교하여 ‘고수준유지’집단에 속할 확률이 높았다. 마지막으로 부모의 진로관심 중 아버지의 진로관심은 잠재계층별 유의미한 차이가 나타나지 않았으며, 어머니의 진로관심은 잠재계층별로 차이를 보였다. 본 연구의 결과는 진로성숙도 변화 양상에 따라 산출된 서로 다른 잠재계층을 위한 차별화된 진로 교육 프로그램의 계발 및 보급 뿐 아니라, 장기적인 관점에서의 진로성숙도의 향상을 위한 체계적 지원의 필요성을 시사한다.

Abstract

This study classified the latent classes according to the developmental trajectories of career maturity and explored the factors affecting classified latent classes. For the current study, data was taken from the Youth Panel data of the Korea Employment Information Service and the growth mixture model was applied. A total of 762 responses were used and these responses were for 7 years from the first year of highschool(2008-2014). First, according to the results from growth mixture model analysis, four latent classes were classified depends on the developmental trajectories of career maturity: 'increasing’ group(39.8%), 'medium level maintaining’ group(25.7%), 'high level maintaining’ group(19.3%), and 'decreasing’ group(15.2%). Second, the influence of relevant variables across different latent classes was confirmed through multinomial logistic regression analysis. Gender, academic achievement, friendship satisfaction, and mother's career interest had significant effects on the classification of latent classes. The results of this study suggested the necessity of systematic support for the improvement of career maturity in the long term as well as the development and diffusion of differentiated career education programs for each latent class calculated according to the changed patterns in career maturity.
