Abstract

At the core of the success of a weapon system software research and development (“R&D”) project is an organized project management and professional auditing that supports the management. However, studies on weapon system software auditing are rare. The purpose of this study of the feasibility of auditing a weapon system software R&D project is, by presenting to the interested parties of the project a design model of the feasibility of audits, to serve as the fundamental information in researching in depth and establishing a policy of utilizing audits for weapon system software projects. In this paper, we analyze the current system and the relevant fields regarding the feasibility of weapon system software R&D project audits through relevant regulations, and present the verification results of a design model that is structurally constructed through a survey and that analyzes the feasibility of weapon system software project audits.
