Abstract
The conventional fractional frequency reuse (FFR) schemes have been based on multi-cell environments in which all base stations (BS)s are fixed. However, in the tactical networks we should consider mobile base stations (MBS)s, dynamical changes of inter-cell interference in the same band between MBSs. Moreover, no hand off and continuous connections should be satisfied in tactical environment. We propose a dynamic FFR scheme in tactical networks consisting of multiple MBSs so that we support the minimum data rate requirement of all mobile nodes (MN)s with a minimum transmit power. We evaluate the performance of the proposed scheme in the tactical environment and show that the required data rate can be satisfied even in the very harsh inter cell interference environment.
