Abstract
This paper analyzes the price predictability of leverage trades such as short selling and margin buying in stock market. This paper finds that the seller has a strong predictability for the stock price whereas there is a low possibility of the predictability trader from margin buyer. Firstly, the increasing short selling right before the analyst downgrades leads to make the abnormal return, while the margin buying right before the analyst upgrades has no significancy with the abnormal return. Secondly, short sellers are increasing the trade right before the analyst downgrades, whereas there is no significant reaction from margin.
