This study classifies the types of conflict conversations between parents and adult children based on triggering factors, and examines the development aspects of parents and adult children identified during such conflict conversations. The researcher transcribed contents of 60 conflict conversations between parents and adult children as the basic material for research. Triggering factors relevant to conflicts between parents and adult children included difference in opinions, feelings of regret, telling a lie, difference in values, interference, and misunderstanding. Such factors can cause conflict conversations between parents and adult children in daily life. Furthermore, during such conversations, development aspects the parents showed were criticizing, neglecting, exploiting their position, admonishing, appealing, and changing the topic, while those that the children showed were criticizing, speaking honestly, appealing, and requesting acknowledge. This study is expected to be useful in finding a clue or direction to resolve conflicts between parents and children.
