청소년의 가정폭력 노출경험과 학교폭력에 관한 연구

본 연구는 청소년을 대상으로 가정폭력 노출정도와 학교폭력의 가해 정도에 대한 실태를 파악하고, 가정폭력 노출경험이 학교폭력에 미치는 영향을 분석․검증하였다. 연구대상으로 강원도 강릉지역의 중학생 1~2학년 295명에게 설문지를 배부하여 분석이 불가능한 설문지 2부를 제외하고 분석 가능한 설문지 293부가 최종 분석에 사용되어 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 연구대상자의 가정폭력 노출경험이 30.4%로 이는 10가구 중 3가구에서 가정폭력이 일어나고 있는 것으로 볼 수 있다. 부모의 부부폭력 목격경험과 부모로부터 폭력 피해경험에서는 언어‧정서적 폭력경험이 신체‧물리적 폭력경험보다 훨씬 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 학교폭력 가해경험 중 언어‧정서적 폭력이 가장 높았으며 다음으로 신체‧물리 적 폭력, 집단 따돌림, 금품갈취, 괴롭힘 순으로 나타났다. 특히, 주목해야 할 것은 약73%의 청소년들이 언어‧정서적 폭력을 사용한다고 대답하여 대부분의 청소년들이 인식하지 못하는 폭력의 형태인 것으로 추측된다. 또한 10명 중 3명의 청소년은 신체‧물리적 폭력을 행사하는 것으로 조사되었다. 셋째, 가정폭력 노출경험과 학교폭력과의 상관관계에서는 부부폭력 목격경험과 학교폭력 5개영역과 상관관계가 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 부모로부터 폭력 피해경험과 학교폭력 5개영역과의 상관관계에서는 언어‧정서적 폭력과 금품갈취, 괴롭힘이 높게 나타났다. 따라서 가정폭력 노출경험은 학교폭력에 많은 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통해 현재 많은 사회적 문제와 우려를 안고 있는 가정폭력과 학교폭력을 예방, 감소시키기 위해서는 자녀를 이해하고 존중하는 가족관계 강화를 위한 다양한 부모교육이 절실히 요구되며, 가정폭력은 세대 간 전이로 세습될 수 있다는 것을 인식시키는 사회적 노력이 필요하다고 하겠다. 또한, 폭력문화에 대한 허용정도는 가정폭력과 학교폭력의 가해 행위에 영향을 미치는 주요변수이므로 가정과 학교에서의 인권교육은 자라나는 청소년들에게 진정한 민주시민으로 성장할 수 있게 하는 자양분이 될 것이다.
Abstract
This research has surveyed teenagers of their exposure to domestic violence and giving of school violence. Hence has analyzed and proven the relationship between teenagers’ exposure to domestic violence and school violence. Subjects were 295 first and second graders of middle school students in Gang-Won province, Gang-Neung city. Among 295questionnaires, 293 were used as the other 2 were illegible. Firstly, subjects’ exposure to domestic violence was 30.4%, meaning that 3 out of 10 households are experiencing domestic violence. Taking a look at witnessing parents’ quarrel and suffering from parents’ violence, the number of cases of lingual/emotional violence was shown to be much larger than that of physical violence. Secondly, lingual/emotional violence was the most when it came to being a school violence abuser, followed by physical violence, ostracizing, fleecing other students of money and other valuable objects, and bullying. One thing that should be focused on is that 73% of subjects replied that they use lingual/emotional violence, showing that most of teenagers are using this form of violence without realizing it. Also, the survey showed that 3 out of 10 students exercise physical violence to other students. Thirdly, the study showed that witnessing parents’ quarrel is highly relative with the five different types of school violence mentioned above. Furthermore, students who have suffered from their parents’ violence are very likely to exercise school violence such as lingual/emotional violence, fleecing other students of money and other valuable objects and bullying. Therefore, it can be concluded that teenagers’ exposure to domestic violence highly affects the teenagers’ exercise of school violence. Through this study, it can be concluded that efforts such as parental education that may strengthen the family relationship and social enlightenment that domestic violence may descent down generations are needed in order to prevent and reduce the number of domestic violence and school violence. Also, tolerance limit towards the violent culture is a key factor that affects the domestic and school violence. Hence, education of individual’s rights at home and school will be a huge stepping stone for teenagers to become apt citizens for today’s society; democratic citizens.
