대학생의 외로움 및 우울의 인지적 특성 : 초기부적응도식을 중심으로

초록

본 연구는 어떠한 초기부적응도식이 대학생의 외로움 및 우울증상에 영향을 미치는지 살펴봄으로써 두 증상 간의 차이점과 유사점을 알아보고, 우울과 변별되는 외로움 고유의 초기부적응도식을 찾기 위해 수행되었다. 이를 위해 대학생 351명(남 87명, 여 264명)에게 Young의 도식 질문지 단축판, UCLA외로움 척도, CES-D 우울척도, 거절상실경험 질문지를 실시하였다. 분석 결과를 종합하여 연구의 결론을 제시하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 고립도식이 외로움과 우울증상을 공통적으로 예측하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 외로움의 영향을 배제했을 때 우울증상을 고유하게 예측하는 도식은 유기, 실패, 과도한 기준 도식으로 나타났다. 셋째, 우울증상의 영향을 배제했을 때 외로움을 고유하게 예측하는 도식은 고립, 정서박탈, 자기희생, 정서억제, 실패 도식으로 나타났다. 넷째, 외로움과 우울의 수준에 따른 네 집단(우울만 높은 집단, 외로움만 높은 집단, 우울과 외로움이 모두 높은 집단, 정상집단)에 대한 초기부적응도식의 변량분석결과, 자기희생도식을 제외한 14개의 도식 점수가 우울과 외로움이 모두 높은 집단에서 가장 높게 나타났고, 정서박탈 도식과 정서억제 도식의 점수는 외로움집단이 우울집단 보다 높았으며 두 집단 간 차이도 유의했다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점을 논의하였다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the relations of early maladaptive schema, loneliness, and depression. YSQ short form, UCLA loneliness scale, CES-D, and Rejection & Loss questionnaire were administered to 351 college students. The results indicated that isolation schema predicted both depression symptoms and loneliness. When the effect of depression symptoms had been controlled, isolation, emotional deprivation, self-sacrifice, emotional inhibition, and failure schema predicted loneliness. When the effect of loneliness had been controlled, abandonment, failure, and unrelenting standards schema predicted depression. These results indicated what were in common and what were different between depression and loneliness. Finally, implication and limitation of this study were discussed.
