초록

목적：본 연구의 목적은 간호학생들의 정신 장애인 역할놀이 경험이 간호학생들의 정신 장애인에 대한 정서적 태도와 사회적 거리감에 미치는 효과를 알아보기 위한 것이다. 방법：연구 대상은 2013학년도 3학년 간호학생 23명 과 2014학년도 3학년 간호학생 29명이었고, 자료 수집은 2013년 실험군은 2013년 8월 5일부터 11월 29일까지, 대조군은 2014년 9월 1일부터 9월 26일까지 이루어져졌다. 역할놀이 교육 전후로 6문항으로 구성된 정신 장애인에 대한 정서적 태도 척도와 11문항으로 구성된 사회적 거리감 척도를 사용하여 비교하였다. 결과：교육 후 실험군은 대조군에 비하여 정신 장애인에 대한 정서적 태도와 사회적 거리감 개선에 유의한 차이를 보였다. 사회적 거리감의 하위 변인인 대인 신체적 거리감의 개선에서는 실험군이 대조군에 비하여 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았으나 대인 사회적 거리감 개선에서는 유의한 차이를 보였다. 결론：정신 장애인 역할놀이 교육은 간호학생들의 정신 장애인에 대한 정서적 태도와 사회적 거리감 특히 대인 사회적 거리감에 긍정적인 변화를 보였다. 따라서 간호학생들의 정신 장애인에 대한 사회적 거리감을 개선하기 위해서는 정신간호학 임상실습과정에서의 접촉경험을 할 때 정신장애인의 역할을 실제 경험하도록 하는 것이 도움이 될 것이다. 그러나 대인 신체적 거리감 개선을 위해서는 더 연구가 필요하다.

Abstract

Purpose：To investigate the effect of role-playing experience as mentally-disabled clients on the emotional attitude and social distance toward mentally-disabled for nursing students. Method：Quasi-nonequivalent experimental design was adopted. Fifty-two nursing students (experimental: 23 cases, control: 29 cases) from C university in Chonnam Province. Both groups had lecture about psychoses during a semester before the study. The experiment group had role-playing experience as mentally-disabled clients in 2013, but the control group had routine practice experience in 2014. Data on emotional attitude and social distance were collected before and after the experiment using self-rating questionnaire consisted of 17 items. The data analysis was done using -test and independent t-test. Results：Compared to the control group, the experimental group showed a significantly higher improvement in emotional attitude (t=2.708, p=.009), social distance (t=2.050, p=.046), and interpersonal social distance (t=2.231, p=.038), but not in interpersonal physical distance (t=1.048, p=.300). Conclusion：Role-playing experience as mentally-disabled clients seemed effective to improve emotional attitude and social distance toward mentally-disabled persons. More defined educational strategies to improve interpersonal physical distance will be needed.
