Metrical Constraints of Shakespeare's Sonnets and its Reading

Abstract
The aims of this paper are to propose metrical constraints for Shakespeare's sonnets and to suggest constraints for their reading on the basis of linguistic rhythm and metrical rhythm. Metrical constraints are based on the one-to-one correspondence between a metrical form and a line. *W ⇒ Lexical stress, Adjacency(phrasal stress) and Align-R are the metrical constraints for Sonnets. But for reading sonnets, both metrical form and linguistic stress of lines must be considered. Therefore *Peak(o), 5Beats and oB must not be violated when reading sonnets. The constraints' ranking for reading sonnets is the following: *Peak(o), 5Beats, oB》Faithfulness Constraints.
