‘-이’와 ‘-게’의 범주와 의미 해석

Abstract

This paper aims to clarify clearly the grammatical category of '-yi' and '-ge' and to explain their semantic characteristics, taking account of their category. In so far, previous studies on the category of '-yi' and '-ge' is divided to two: affix or eomi. This paper reveals that the category of '-yi' belongs to affix not eomi. Indeed this paper criticized the previous studies have not considered this categorial properties seriously in clarifying their semantic differences among '-yi' and '-ge'. In this paper we argued that semantic discrepancy of '-yi' and '-ge' can be explained properly from their categorial characteristics. (Korea University, Institute of Korean Culture)
