초등학생의 독서성향이 발명에 대한 태도에 미치는 영향

Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze the correlation between the reading propensity and attitude toward invention and the effects of reading propensity on the attitude toward invention of elementary school students. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, the surveys about attitude toward invention and reading propensity were conducted. A total of 241 questionnaires were distributed, 224 copies were recovered and analyzed. Using the SPSS 23 statistical program, t-test, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were performed to resolve the research questions. The results and conclusions of the study are as follows. First, male students showed a statistically significant higher score on attitude toward invention as a whole, interesting and cognitive attitude towards invention compared to female students. Otherwise, there was no statistically significant difference in attitude toward inventions by grade, or reading propensity by gender and grade. Second, it was analyzed that there was a relatively strong positive correlation between the attitude toward invention as a whole and the reading propensity as a whole at the significance level of less than .01 to .525. Looking at the correlation between each sub-factors, cognitive, interesting, and practical attitudes showed a statistically significant correlation with the all sub-factors of reading propensity except reading avoidance. Emotional attitude showed a statistically significant correlation with all sub-factors of reading propensity at a significance level. Third, it was analyzed that among elementary school students' reading tendencies the higher the interaction with peers and sense of purpose in reading, the higher the interesting, practical and emotional attitudes towards invention. And it was analyzed that the higher reading attitude and sense of purpose in reading, the higher the cognitive attitude toward invention.
