시조의 세계관적 구조와 그 시학적 의미

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to present the structure on the world view in Sijo, the representative genre of the traditional korean verse in Chosŏn Dynasty, and the poetics that the structure shows. The theoretical framework is the semiotics comprised of ‘the semiotics of a signification’ and ‘the semiotics of a communication’. It is useful in laying down the principle of the poetics on complicated Sijo. The former focuses on the relationship of Signified & Signifier and it is revealed as the structure of ‘union’& ‘fusion’ in Sijo by repetition. On the other hand, the latter focuses on the relationship of Narrator & Reader and it is showed as the structure of ‘identification’ & ‘distance' by aesthetic distance. These structures also show their own poetics. The union structure shows the poetics of the consecutive outlook on the world based on the aesthetics of an identify. On the contrary, the fusion structure shows the poetics of the discontinuous outlook on the world based on the aesthetics of a confrontation. Both of them reveal the poetics of ‘heading for epic poetry’ or ‘obtaining a realistic attainment’ but the former shows the world view of monologic voices and the latter shows the one of dialogical and polyphonic voices. From macroscopic point of view, the relationship between ‘the Semiotics of a communication’ and ‘the Semiotics of a signification’ brought about a result, that is, the text structures that focus on communication have more specific gravity than the text structures that focuses on signification. This means Sijo focuses on the practical function more than the aesthetical function that the poetic text itself has. It is also related to the truth that Sijo was performed with the relationship of 'subject'& 'Subject'. From this microscopic point of view. Pyoungsijo says that union structure & identification structure have more specific gravity than fusion structure & distance structure. Contrary to this, Saseolsijo says that all structures have similar gravities. This phenomenon is meaningful in the way that how Sijo was establishing relations of forces of attraction and repulsion with the environment around itself.
