圓齋 鄭樞(1333～1382)는 강직한 성품으로 當代의 不條理한 현실 속에서 자신의 삶의 지향점에 대해 진지하게 고민하였던 14세기 士大夫 文人이다. 그가 남긴 漢詩 작품은 뛰어난 시적 형상화로 다채로운 성향과 높은 예술적 경지를 보여준다. 그러나 정추 한시 문학에 관한 선행 연구에서는 주로 시작품에 드러나는 그의 현실 비판적 인식에 주목해 왔다.이에 본고에서는 14세기 士大夫 漢詩 硏究의 일환으로, 자아와 모순된 현실에 대응하는 그의 삶의 자세와 의식지향의 변화에 주목하고, 그의 시가 지니는 미적 특질을 중심으로 圓齋 鄭樞의 시 세계를 究明해 보았다.그의 시작품을 통해 무엇보다 특징적인 국면으로 주목되는 점은 다음의 두 가지이다. 하나는 젊은 시절 창작된 작품에 주로 현실을 음험한 것으로 인식하고 그러한 현실을 초월하고자 하는 의지가 雄豪한 기세에 실려 표출되고 있다는 점이다. 다른 한 국면은 晩年의 작품에 자연물을 비롯한 세상의 모든 현상을 자연의 理法에 따른 변화로 인식하고 자신 또한 본성대로 自如한 삶을 살아갈 것을 希求하는 면모가 드러난다는 점이다.아울러 그러한 정신 경계와 의지를 담고 있는 시들 대부분이 그의 雄豪한 氣質的 측면의 영향으로 역시 雄健하고 飄逸한 시풍을 띠고 있음도 주목할 부분이었다.이처럼 鄭樞가 보여준 암울한 현실에 대응하는 삶의 태도와 어느 한 가지 틀에 얽매이지 않는 변화를 지향하는 폭넓은 사유, 그리고 그가 남긴 시작품의 높은 예술적 경지는 단지 鄭樞 한사람의 개인성에 그치는 것이 아니라 14세기 사대부 문인들이 지닌 사유와 문학의 특징적 면모와 다양성을 이해하는데 밑거름이 되리라 생각한다.
Abstract
Wonjae Jung Chu(1333～1382) was a man of integrity who contemplated seriously his orientation to life in the middle of confused and irrational reality in the 14th century. He left poems in classical Chinese that show various dispositions and high artistic value through outstanding formation of poetry. Previous studies on Jung Chu's poetic literature in classical Chinese, however, have mainly focused on his critical recognition of reality found in his poetic works while overlooking his artistic aspect.This thesis intends to focus on his life attitude and chanf his conscious orientation while coping with conflict woven between his ego and reality and looks into Wonjae Jung Chu's poetic world laying stress on aesthetic characteristics of his poems. Thus, this study is one of the studies on the poetry in classical Chinese of Sadaeboo(士大夫) in the 14th century.Jung Chu's poems have two distinguishing characteristics. One is that he perceives the reality as deceitful and crafty and manifests the will to transcend such a reality with a sublime spirit in his works at an early age. The other is that he understands all the phenomena in the world as the change following rules of nature and expresses desires to live a natural life according to his very nature in his poems at his late days. Also, it should be noticed that most of poems carrying such a will and the spiritual world of Jung Chu show his grand and bohemian style affected by his magnificent disposition.Hopefully, it is expected that this study on the life attitude of Jung Chu coping with the gloomy reality, his profound thinking resulted from affirmation of 'change of the universe', and high aesthetic state of his poetic works can offer not only the basis for understanding Jung Chu's poetic world but also the groundwork for understanding characteristic aspects and a variety of thinking and literature of Sadaeboo(士大夫) literary people in the 14th century.
