만주(晩洲) 정창주(鄭昌胄)의 시세계 연구

Abstract

This paper presents research on Sobukpalmoonjang (小北八文章) Manju JeongChangju (晩洲 鄭昌胄); not only reviewing his life and overall corpus but also clarifying the aesthetic appeal of his poems. First, as the diversified aesthetic capture of the same mystical creature, Manju JeongChangju (晩洲 鄭昌胄) demonstrates repeated versification, while realizing Youngmulsi (詠物詩, poem of mystical creature) capturing various objects. Second, this research investigated spatial cognition of Nujeong and certain aspect of emotional expression. This research determined that Manju expressed his emotion by appreciating surrounding landscape through perception of Nujeong as an unworldly space, and included the emotions of personal experiences in Nujeong poem (樓亭詩) as he presumed it as a space of remembrance and communication. Third, this research investigated the aspect of remembrance and the aspect of suggestion of Taoistic afterlife through sharing recollections included in monodies (挽詩). Accordingly, this research determined that Manju created sincerity by creating Mansi based on personal memory, in accordance with a Taoistic view of life and death. This approach to the poetic world of Seolbong is a prerequisite for investigating the real situations of the groups of Sobuk (小北) and Sobukpalmunjang (小北八文章) of the 17th century and discovering their literary achievements.
