이 논문은 주로 20세기 초에 완판방각본이 서울, 대구를 비롯한 여러 지역으로 유통된 과정을 연구하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 특히 도서목록, 판권지, 도장, 광고, 필사 기록, 책판의 이동 등을 종합적으로 살핀다. 완판방각본은 호남 지역에 판매하기 위해 출판하였으나 인기가 높아지면서 서울과 대구 등의 서점과 일찍부터 협약을 맺은 것으로 추정된다. 전주의 西溪書舖, 多佳書舖, 七書房, 梁冊房 등은 전국의 여러 서점과 유통을 하고 있었다. 전주 서점들의 판권지에 ‘京鄕各書館’이 發賣所로 나오고, 고무 도장이 찍힌 책들이 서울과 대구 등에서 발견되고 있다. 다가서포의 도서목록에도 서울과 거래하여 중국 책과 신소설, 활자본 등을 판매한 내용이 나온다. 완영본이 방각본으로 다시 출판이 되어 전국에 판매되었고, 태인방각본이 다시 출판되어 전국에 판매되었다. 중국 책들이 전주로 유입되는 과정을 살펴보았다.
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to study the distribution of the Wanpanbanggagbon to various regions including Seoul and Daegu. in particular, I will comprehensively examine the list of books, copyright papers, stamps, advertisements, transcripts, and movement of wooden platters. Wanpanbanggagbon is published for sale in Honam area. however, the popularity of classic novels, saseosamkyeong, and practical books published by Jeonju increased. therefore, it is presumed that they made sales consultation with bookstores in Seoul and Daegu early on. Firstly, the Pangyakhappyeon issued by Seogyeseopo in Jeonju, was sold in Seoul and Daegu. in addition, the book with the rubber stamp of this bookstore is found in Seoul. Secondly, in the copyright papers of the Jeonju bookstore, several bookstores nationwide appear as sales offices. this is evidence of distribution dealings with bookstores nationwide. the book list of Dagaseopo also shows the sale of chinese books, new novels, and printed books already taken in Seoul. Thirdly, the books taken at Jeollagamyeong were reprinted in Jeonju and sold nationwide. in addition, the Taeinbanggagbon were republished in Jeonju and Daegu and sold nationwide. finally, the Hoedongseogwan in Seoul was exchanged with the Gyogeongsanbang in Shanghai, China, and imported the Chinese books. This books were distributed to Jeonju.
