하서 김인후는 조선조 16세기의 정치적 혼란기에 至治主義를 표방하는 道學者로서의 삶에 충실했던 지식인이었다. 그의 평생을 통해 일관되게 추구했던 도학적 양상과 삶의 실체는 1600수 가깝게 남겨 놓은 그의 한시를 통하여 살필 수 있다. 여러 가지의 題材을 가지고 쓰여진 그의 한시 가운데 그의 도학적 세계관을 적절하게 나타내고 있는 것이 자연과 관련된 시라고 할 수 있다. 그러나 그가 자연을 심미적 대상으로 삼아 시를 창작함에 있어 오로지 도학적 관념세계를 형상화하는 것에만 기울어진 것으로 볼 수 없다.그러므로 그의 시에는 自然物과 山水를 보고 그 아름다움에 촉발되어 일어나는 순수한 감흥을 진솔하게 드러내는 자연시가 적지 않다. 이것은 그가 자연을 관념적 상징체로만 인식하지 않고 즐기고 사랑할 만한 정서적 대상으로 인식하였다는 것을 의미한다. 이러한 관점에서 하서는 자연의 영원하고 불변하는 시간성의 의미를 구명함으로써 자연물의 존재적 의미를 파악하고 있다. 이러한 논의에서 더 진전하여 자연 속에 세워진 누정과 그것을 둘러싸고 있는 자연물로 이루어진 園林의 공간배치 문제를 통하여 하서의 공간적 미의식의 확대가 이루어지고 있다.
Abstract
Ha soe Kim In Hoo was a sincere intellectual and moralist who standed for moralism during the politically confused period of the Choson dynasty in the 16th century. His consistent pursuit of ethical thinkings and the substsnces of his life throughout his career can be known by his 1600 poems. Among his poems written on various subjects,the nature poems describes his ethical outlook in the world. Most of his poems written on the esthetic objects lean towards idealistic moralism. But many of his works are the pure poems which were written on the beautiful landscapes which provoked him to write on. It means he doesn't understand nature only as an ideal symbol but a lovely lyrical subject.In this respect, Ha soe realizes the senses of nature's being by studying the immutability and the eternity of nature. Furthermore, we can consider his senses of space by the arrangements of the nature things in his nature poems.
