Abstract

The purpose of this article is to introduce the standards and direction for the development of evaluation questions for ‘Reading classics in Chinese characters’, which was newly established as a career elective subject in the 2022 Classical Chinese curriculum, so that it can be operated stably in school settings. In ‘Reading classics in Chinese characters’, the content that students should learn through ‘Reading classics in Chinese characters’ and the abilities they can or are expected to be able to do after learning through this were presented as achievement standards. Schools and teachers accurately know the national curriculum standards, apply them to set standards for teaching and evaluation, and based on these, develop and utilize evaluation tools that can validly and reliably check students’ achievement levels to check students’ achievement levels. and must be able to record it. In this article, in accordance with this direction, evaluation elements appropriate for the ‘Reading classics in Chinese characters’ achievement standards are extracted, and examples of evaluation tools are presented to check whether or not the extracted evaluation elements have been learned. At the same time, the development intention is revealed to determine the level of achievement and sought to improve the level of structural understanding of evaluation tools.
