한문교육과에서 ‘언어생활과 한자’ 과목 교수자 양성을 위한 수업 설계 및 운영 방안 모색

강원대학교 한문교육과는 예비 교원들이 한자 어휘의 양상과 특성을 전문적ㆍ체계적으로 학습하고, 이를 바탕으로 ‘언어생활과 한자’ 과목 수업 지도 역량을 배양할 수 있도록 하기 위해, ‘한자어휘교육론’이라는 전공선택 교과목을 2025년 1학년 1학기에 신설했다. 한자어휘교육론 수업에서 1∼3주차에는 한국어 어휘 체계의 특성과 한자 어휘의 위상 및 특징, 한자 교육의 필요성과 한자교육과 문해력과의 관계에 대한 자료를 읽고 시청하고 토론하는 방식으로 진행했다. 4∼11주차에는 ‘언어생활과 한자’의 내용 체계와 성취 기준에 해당하는 한자 어휘의 다양한 양상과 특성을 본격적으로 학습하는 방향으로 수업을 진행했다. 12∼14주차에는 ‘언어생활과 한자’ 교재 탐구 및 수업 실연을 진행했다. 또한 다섯 개의 과제를 통해 학생들이 한자 어휘에 대한 전문적인 지식을 능동적으로 학습하고, 한자 어휘 교육에 대한 필요성을 실감할 수 있도록 유도했다. 앞으로 한자어휘교육론 수업의 질을 높이기 위해서는 본인의 한자 어휘 교육에 대한 전문 지식과 식견을 높이고, 수업 방법 및 수업 평가 방법을 더욱 효과적으로 구성하고, 수업 시간에 가르칠 한자 어휘를 체계적으로 선정하는 것과 같은 많은 개선 노력이 필요하다.
Abstract
Kangwon National University's Department of Chinese Classics Education has established a new elective subject called ‘Chinese Vocabulary Education Theory’ in the first semester of the first year in 2025 to enable prospective teachers to study the aspects and characteristics of 'Chinese Vocabulary' in a professional and systematic manner based on the curriculum of ‘Chinese Characters in Korean Language Life’ and to cultivate the ability to teach the subject of ‘Chinese Characters in Korean Language Life’. The class design of the Chinese Vocabulary Education Theory was planned to reflect the achievement standards, explanation of achievement standards, and considerations when applying achievement standards of the curriculum of ‘Chinese Characters in Korean Language Life’ so that related content can be learned. In order to improve the quality of Chinese vocabulary education in the future, many improvement efforts are needed, such as enhancing one's expertise and knowledge in Chinese vocabulary education, constructing teaching methods and class evaluation methods more effectively, and systematically selecting Chinese vocabulary to be taught in class.
