This study deals with the work of Korean Japanese writers’ literature works, which have appeared in the Japanese high school language textbooks from 1989 to 2008. As an analytical tool for this study, ‘the curriculum guideline(学習指導要領)’, which is issued by the Ministry of Education(文部科学省), Japan. The curriculum guideline contains several procedures for selecting and excluding the literature work, but this study is focusing on three aspects in the contents of the guideline; considering rich human nature, nurturing comprehensive world view and elevating internationalism. In fact, the several works of Korean Japanese writers have been selected and appeared in order to meet thee guidelines. In this period from 1989 to 2008, the nineteen literature works have designated from nine Korean Japanese writers including Yu Miri, Lee Woo Hwan and Lee Yangji, in the Japanese high school language textbooks. To sum up, the works of Korean Japanese writers’ several works were selected and utilized in order to sustain the guideline of Japanese government.
