무라카미 하루키의 <키노>는 단편집 <여자 없는 남자들> 중 대표적인 작품이다. 이 작품은 여성에게 버림받은 남성 사회 질서의 붕괴와 혼란을 표현했다. 본 논문은 공간론, 원형비평 등 방법을 활용하여 상처받은 주인공 ‘키노’의 자아해체와 정신재생의 과정을 탐구했다. 구체적으로 키노는 아내와 동료의 외도로 일상 공간인 '집'에서 탈출했고, ‘신성한 공간’이라는 바에서 성, 폭력, 뱀 등 매개체의 시련을 통과하고, 결국 기억의 힘을 통해 자아해체와 정신재생을 완성했다. 이 작품은 중년 남성 키노 개인의 성장 스토리 임을 뿐만 아니라 상처받은 현대인이 곤경에서 어떻게 벗어나 살아남아야 하는지를 암시했다.
Abstract
Haruki Murakami's kino is a fine work included in the collection of short stories men without women. This short story represents the collapse and confusion of the order in the male realm, which has been left by women. This paper examines the path to self-collapse and spiritual regeneration of kino by utilizing the theory of place and archetypal criticism. To be more specific, kino separated from the "home" which was the everyday space due to an affair with his wife and colleagues, went through trials through the medium of sex, violence and snakes in the "sacred place" bar, and finally completed self-collapse and spiritual rebirth through the recalling memory in the journey.The novel Kino is not only a story of the growth of a middle-aged man, but also suggests how modern people who have been hurt by something can get out of their predicament and survive.
