근대 일본 소학교에서의 서간문 교육 양상 —일본 소학교 국정독본교과서를 중심으로—

Abstract

This study analyzes and reviews letter writing and related articles published in national reading textbooks(1903-1945) as the extension of existing studies on national reading textbooks of elementary school. The results show that national reading textbooks reflect the situation of the period after 30 years of adopting the postal system and the difficulty level of mail creating in regards to the postal system and postal explanation. Regular letter writings published in national reading textbooks have increased letter examples than authorized textbooks, and the contents are more various, which indicates the letter writing education was expanded and reinforced with the medium of reading textbooks due to the property of national textbooks. In case of explanatory writing with the adoption of letter writing form, letters of foregoers were substituted into explanation articles and modern famous perple’s letters in national reading textbooks, and the number of letters and explanation articles for vocation and other areas was increased, along with the change of contents. National textbooks provide not only letter writing education but also reading materials through contemporary subject letters. They also enhance the ratio of letter reading education to acquire knowledge.
