지리-역사 장소 답사를 중심으로 한 학습내용 구성 및 평가 방법 - 서울 북촌 한옥마을 답사를 사례로 -

본 연구는 장소의 지리적 맥락과 역사적 맥락을 연계하여 학습하고, 학습한 장소를 직접 답사함으로써 장소에 대한 이해를 제고하기 위한 교수-학습 방법을 고찰해 본 것이다. 연구 배경은 장소 답사 중심의 학습이 학생들의 개별적인 학습 활동과 더불어 소집단 공동 학습 활동을 통해 사회성을 기르고 정보 처리 및 활용 능력을 함양할 수 있다는 전제하에서 이루어졌다. 서울 북촌을 사례로 한 학습내용 구성 및 평가에서는 북촌이란 장소의 의미와 북촌의 보존 정책, 그리고 최근 새로운 변화 등이 구체적인 학습 주제가 될 수 있으며, 수행평가를 통한 평가 기준도 제시할 수 있었다. 또한 사례 학습에서 학생들의 구체적인 활동은 답사 전 실내학습 과정과 현장 답사 과정, 그리고 답사 후 과정 등으로 세분하여 설정할 수 있으며, 포트폴리오 평가를 위한 학생들의 수행 과제도 선정할 수 있었다. 다만, 학습 효과를 높이기 위해서는 답사 체험 활동 시간을 고려한 유연적인 학습 시간 운영이 가능해야 하며, 학생들의 답사 체험 활동을 위한 비용, 전문가를 초청한 비용 등의 행·재정적 지원이 마련되어야 하는 것으로 파악되었다. 학습 평가 측면에서는 교수-학습 활동의 결과가 지속적으로 학생들에게 피드백이 되어야 하며, 평가의 주관적 요소의 개입이 배제되어야 하는 것으로 밝혀졌다.
Abstract
This study is for teaching-learning methods to improve understanding about place by learning geographical context and historical context connected each other, and surveying the place in fieldwork. For study background, the study was progressed under the preposition that learning to focus on surveying place can raise sociality through small group joint learning activity, and can cultivate data processing and application capacity along with individual learning activity of students. In the composition of learning content and its assessment with the case of Bukchon Hanok Village in Seoul, meaning of the place, Bukchon, preservation policy of Bukchon, and recent new changes can be concrete learning theme and task of performance assessment fit to survey activity, and assessment criteria could be suggested. To improve learning effect, flexible operation of learning time considering survey experiences activity time should be available, and administrative and financial support such as budget for survey experiences activity of students, expense to invite expert etc. should be arranged. In the aspect of learning assessment, results of teaching-learning activity should be kept informed to students continuously and intervention of subjective factor in assessment should be excluded.
