한국의 국가지질공원 현황과 보전 방안 연구

초록

본 연구는 국내 관광학계에 지오투어리즘의 개념을 제시하고 지오투어리즘에 대한 선행연구를 통해 정립하였다. 결론적으로 지형 및 지질자원을 기반한 지오투어리즘 맥락에서 볼 때 국가지질공원에 대한 대중들의 관심과 자연유산의 보존, 환경 친화적 지역개발 및 주민들의 적극적인 참여, 경제적 이익에 관한 순환구조는 국가지질공원이 추구하고자 하는 의미 있는 방향일 것이다. 본연구의 결과에 근거하여, 이해관계자들은 국가지질공원의 중요성과 앞으로의 방향성을 조정할 수 있을 것이다. 추가적으로, 지오투어리즘의 개발을 위해서는 지형 및 지질자원 측면에서 뿐만 아니라 관광학적 관점과 관광마케팅 차원의 연구와 참여가 함께 이루어져야 할 것을 고려해야 한다.

Abstract

In this study, we tried to establish the concept of Geotourism based on preceding studies and suggest it to the Korean Tourism. In conclusion, the public interests on Geo-Park and preservation of natural heritages, eco-friendly local development and active participation of the local people, and circulatory structure on the economic benefits will be the meaningful direction that National Geopark pursues in terms of the National Geopark based on the topographic and geological resources. The interested parties may understand the importance of National Geopark and adjust the future direction based on the results. In addition, researches and participation in terms of not only topographic and geological resources aspects but also touristic and tour marketing should be all considered at the same time for the development of Geotourism.
