<重訂南漢志> 소재 인물 관련 조목 ‘節義’, ‘孝子’, ‘烈女’ 고찰

Abstract

This paper presents the background and items of the compilation of ≪jungjeong-namhanji≫, compiled by Hong Gyeong-mo(洪敬謨) in 1846, and studies the examples and deeds of characters in the items of removal of honor(節義)’, ‘Filial Son(孝子)’, ‘Chaste Women(烈女)’. ≪jungjeongnamhanji≫ is today a private geography in Gwang-ju, Gyeonggi-do, and it is the largest amount of Gwangju, which has 13books, and has high value as a historical material. Until now, research on geography has been conducted focusing on the fields of history and geography, and broadly, historical anthropology. This would be a valid result to limit the traditional geography tyle, that is, Geography Books but considering the expansion of private geogra-phy in the late Joseon Dynasty and the diversification of items and contents in geography, the form of geography should be discussed again in a wider academic field As an example of this, ≪jungjeongnamhanji≫ can be noted. As can be seen from the name ‘Namhanji’, it is described based on the historical events of the Imjin War(壬辰倭亂) and the Byeongja Horan(丙子胡亂), so the aspect is very characteristic. Among them, the reason why they paid particular attention to the person items such as temples, filial piety, and filial piety is that the number of people is significantly higher than the number of people in other geography, and the cases are also detailed and specific. It is also noteworthy that among the characters, those who kept the pain and memory of the war related to the Gwang-ju area were selected. In this regard, this study was conducted because it was necessary to reconsider the contents and sanctions of ≪jungjeongnamhanji≫.
