Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out in influence on physical fitness(muscular strength, power, agility, flexibility, total endurance and so forth), white blood cell subset(neutrophil, lymphocyte, monocyte) and immunoglobulin(IgA, IgG, IgM) based on girls judo masters' weight loss in short-term. 12 judo player-subjects were divided into two experimental group(n=6) and control group(n=6). Subjects had gone through weight loss to the 5% of original body weight in 5 days. Taking the blood sample for variables analysis was done before and after the weight loss. Diet and exercise were performed in order to the weight loss. We performed two-way repeated ANOVA analysis to the result of pre-and-post weight loss. The result of this study are as follows. It revealed that bodywater, bodyfat, BMI got reduced significantly pre-and-post the execise(p<.001) in the experimental group and bodywater, bodyfat got reduced significantly(p<.05) in the control group. there was not significant difference between two groups. It revealed that muscular strength in case of physical fitness got reduced significantly pre-and-post the Weight loss(p<.05) in the experimental group and there was not significant difference in the control group. there was significantly difference(p<.01) in total endurance and so forth between two groups. There was an reduced significantly pre-and-post the Weight loss(p<.001) in neutrophil white blood cell subset with the function of immunity and there was an significantly increase(p<.01) in lymphocyte, monocyte. There was a significantly difference(p<.05) in neutrophil between two groups. There was an increase in immunoglobulin(IgA, IgG) significantly pre-and-post the Weight loss(p<.05) of experimental group and there was not significant difference between experimental and control group. The result represents that short-term weight loss does have an effect on immunity function since there was not much change in physical fitness but entire change in white blood cell subset(neutrophil, lymphocyte, monocyte) and immunoglobulin( IgA, IgG). It requires to examine the appropriate period of weight loss and study variant related with other immunity functions for more specific inquiry.
