Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out how the Judo training of university students influences body composition, physical fitness and Brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF), Insulin-like growth factor-1(IGF-1), Growth hormone(GH). After the Judo training of 10 numbers of Judo training group and 10 numbers of control group, we have come to a conclusion as follows : For body composition, there was a significant decrease in weight, percent body fat, BMI and significant increase in muscle mass. For physical fitness, there was a significant increase in muscular strength, and quick reaction. There was a significant increase in BDNF, the health index and IGF-1 involved in growth. Therefore, considering all the research results, it is considered that physical activity by Judo training gives us a new possibility of preventing obesity, various diseases with the growth of physical strength, improves memory, cognitive function and has a positive impact on growth and development.
