이 연구는 디지털 전환기 미술교육자들의 교육적 신념에 영향을 미치는 미래에 대한 관점을 기반으로 위기이자 기회일 수 있는 파르마콘적 실천 딜레마에 대한 성찰과 극복 가능성에 대한 모색을 목적으로 한다. 인공지능의도래로 대변되는 고도의 디지털 기술사회에서 인간은 어떤 태도를 가지고 살아가야 할 것인가에 대한 논의는 현재 급변하는 디지털화된 교육 환경의 변화에 대한 대비의 차원을 넘어 상상하는 미래를 창조하기 위한 인간 이해의 새로운 지평에 대한 탐구이며 미술교육의 실천 가능성에 대한 탐구의 조건으로서 교육의 방향 설정에 중요한단서을 제공한다. 따라서 이 연구의 내용은 미래를 바라보는 관점을 고찰하고, 디지털 기술 발전으로 인한 미래가약이자 독이 될 수 있는 ‘파르마콘(pharmakon)’의 요소를 함유하고 있기에 이에 따른 딜레마는 무엇이며, 이를해결하기 위한 미술교육의 역할은 무엇일 수 있는가에 대한 시사점을 얻고자 하였다. 과거로부터 현재까지 인간행위에서 예술 창조는 미래를 창조하는 중요한 원천이며, 이를 교육하는 데 있어서 시간적 연속선상에 따라 변화해온 인간에 대한 이해는 미술교육의 중요한 방향 설정을 제공하였다. 이에, 인간 이해의 새로운 지평 속 디지털전환으로 초래할 디지털 리터러시와 미디어 리터러시, 그리고 비판적 데이터 리터러시라는 새로운 미래 문해력의등장과 함께 그동안 미술교육에서 추구해온 시각적 문해력에 대한 의미 재탐색을 요구함을 연구 결과로 도출하였다. 미래 문해력의 관점에서 미술교육의 파르마콘적 실천 딜레마의 해소 가능성을 제안하는 이 연구는 인공지능과디지털 기술의 발전 속에서 심미적 감수성과 가치 판단력, 비판적 사고 및 공감력의 향상을 위한 미술교육의 실천이 상상력의 학습과 시각적 문해력을 새롭게 적용함으로써 대안을 모색할 수 있음을 시사한다.
Abstract
Based on the perspective of the future that affects the educational beliefs of art educators during the digital transition period, this study aims to reflect on the parmacon practice dilemma, which can be a crisis and an opportunity, and to explore the possibility of overcoming it. Discussions on how humans should live in a highly digital technology society represented by the advent of artificial in- telligence are an exploration of human's new capabilities to create an imagined future beyond pre- paring for the rapidly changing digital educational environment. Therefore, the content of this study was to examine the perspective of the future and to get implications for what the dilemma is and what the role of art education may be to solve it because it contains the element of ‘parmacone’ that the future can be both medicine and poison. Art creation is an important source of creating the fu- ture in human behavior from the past to the present, and the understanding of humans, which has changed according to the continuous line of time, provided an important direction for art education. As a result, it was derived from the study that it requires re-exploration of the meaning of visual lit- eracy pursued in art education, along with the emergence of new future literacy such as digital liter- acy, media literacy, and critical data literacy that will result in digital transformation in new horizons of human understanding. The study, which proposes the possibility of solving the pharmacon practice dilemma of art education from the perspective of future literacy, suggests that art education's prac- tice to improve aesthetic sensitivity, value judgment, critical thinking, and empathy can seek alter- natives by newly applying imagination learning and visual literacy.
