한국어 활용 능력 편차에 따른 실용음악학과 중국인 유학생의 수업 만족도 연구

Abstract

With the global surge of K-pop, there has been an acceleration in the influx of international stu dents into domestic practical music departments, with a majority of them being Chinese. As most classes are conducted in Korean, the proficiency in Korean language among international students significantly influences their learning experience, leading to substantial variations in class satisfaction levels despite taking the same courses. Therefore, this study analyzes how the proficiency gap in Korean language among Chinese international students in the practical music department affects class satisfaction. To conduct this study, surveys on class satisfaction were administered to Chinese inter national students at K University based on their Korean language proficiency level, weekly study hours, and total study duration. Classes were divided into three types: theory, practical, and 1:1 spe cialized practical. The research findings indicate that satisfaction levels were significantly higher in theory classes under the condition of Korean language level 5 and 5-10 hours of study per week. For practical classes, satisfaction was notably higher at Korean language level 4, while for 1:1 specialized classes, satisfaction peaked at Korean language level 3. Regarding the total study duration, sat isfaction was higher in theory and practical classes within the 2-3 year period, and for 1:1 specialized classes, satisfaction remained high even within the 1-2 year study duration. Through these results, this study proposes criteria for improving classes satisfaction based on the proficiency in Korean language among international students and underscores the necessity for en hancing the learning environment and related educational systems for international students.
