Abstract
The purpose of this study is to verify the moderating effect of growth mindset on the relationship between stress and school life adaptation in male adolescents. The data were collected through a survey of 397 male adolescents selected using purposive sampling from 18 middle and high schools located in Chungcheong and Jeolla provinces. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS PC+ Win ver. 25.0, applying statistical techniques such as frequency analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis. The research findings are as follows. First, correlation analysis among the key variables revealed a negative correlation between stress and growth mindset as well as between stress and school life adaptation, while a positive correlation was found between growth mindset and school life adaptation. Second, the analysis of the moderating effect of growth mindset on the relationship between stress and school life adaptation confirmed that growth mindset moderates this relationship. Based on these findings, strategies to enhance school life adaptation in male adolescents were discussed.
