Abstract: This study aimed to translate and validate the Children’s Resilient Scale for Young Children (CRSYC), originally developed in China, for application in the Korean cultural context. A total of 420 questionnaires were distributed to parents of children aged 2 to 6 years, and 377 valid responses were analyzed. Exploratory factor analysis revealed three factors—Focused Engagement, Emotional Stability, and Social Agreeableness—comprising 14 items and explaining 54.7% of the total variance. All factors showed significant positive correlations, and the overall reliability was .835, with each subfactor exceeding .70. The original Self-care factor was excluded due to low internal consistency (.544), which may reflect cultural differences in how resilience-related behaviors are interpreted. These findings support the structural validity and reliability of the Korean version of the CRSYC. The scale is a concise and practical instrument that can be effectively utilized to assess resilience in young children in educational and counseling settings in Korea.
