코로나 19와 사회 갈등: 토픽모델링 분석을 중심으로

본 연구는 토픽모델링 중 잠재적 디리클레 할당(LDA)을 활용하여 코로나 19 기간 동안 사회 갈등 관련 뉴스 빅데이터에 내재된 토픽을 추출하였다. 이를 위해서 코로나 19가 시작되기 시작한 2020년 1월 1일부터 2021년 12월 31일 기간 동안 방송과 언론매체의 기사를 분석하였다. 분석 결과 코로나 19 및 사회갈등과 관련된 키워드가 시기별로 변화되는 것을 확인하였다. 2020년 코로나 19 발생 초기에는 국제질서의 변화 속에 국가 간 갈등이 발생하였다는 것을 확인하였다. 미국과 중국 간 갈등은 반도체 산업을 중심으로 무역 갈등으로 이어졌으며, 국내에서는 코로나 방역정책과 취약계층 지원 정책의 실시에 따라 재난지원금, 등록금, 의료계 등의 키워드로 이해관계자들 사이에 사회갈등이 발생하였다. 코로나 19 변이 발생으로 인해 코로나 19가 장기화되었던 2021년에는 사회갈등이 심화되었다. 또한 대통령 선거와 관련된 정치적 이슈로 인해 후보자들이 제안하는 정책과 관련된 이슈들을 중심으로 지지자와 이해관계자들 간에 사회 갈등이 발생하였다. 또한 코로나 19의 장기화에 따라 코로나 19 초기에 발생하였던 미국과 중국 간 무역 갈등 및 재난 기본소득, 의료법, 등록금 등과 같은 방역정책 및 복지정책 실시에 따른 이해관계자들 간의 갈등이 지속되었음을 알 수 있었다.
Abstract
This study extracted topics embedded in big news data related to social conflicts during COVID-19 by utilizing potential Dirichlet assignment (LDA) during topic modeling. To this end, we analyzed broadcast and media articles from January 1, 2020, when COVID-19 began, to December 31, 2021. As a result of the analysis, it was possible to empirically confirm that the words of Corona 19 and social conflict are changing by period. In 2020, as Corona 19 occurred and spread, conflicts between countries were confirmed amid changes in the international order. In particular, the conflict between the US and China led to a trade dispute centered on the semiconductor industry. In Korea, with the implementation of the Coronavirus prevention policy and welfare policy to support the underprivileged, social conflicts among stakeholders have arisen with keywords such as disaster aid, tuition, and the medical field. In 2021, social conflicts intensified as Corona 19 was prolonged due to the outbreak of COVID-19 mutation. In addition, social conflicts due to political issues arose due to the presidential election. Disputes arose between supporters and stakeholders centered on presidential candidates and issues related to policies proposed by the candidates. In addition, it can be seen that due to the prolonged COVID-19, the trade conflict between the United States and China, which occurred in the early stages of Corona 19, and the conflict between stakeholders due to the implementation of quarantine and welfare policies such as basic disaster income, medical law, and tuition fees, continued.
