This study proposed a prosthetic makeup technique that expresses artistry with original make-up to create realistic and solid shapes what the artist thoroughly planned. Lotus flower images, special make-up prosthetics, and art make-up were studied in the literature review section. Base on the previous studies, latex slabs were created using a prosthetic special make-up technique incorporated with lotus flower pattern images. This study provided a new constructing technique based on existing slabs. In this study, a stable and lively structure was applied, and a strong visual contrast between warm, soft color and glitter black color. The lotus stem shape highlighted the contrast has an amplectant shape, and the meaning of the shape is indicative of rebirth, new beginnings, and eternal life. The slabs with a prosthetic special make-up technique can be constructed repeatedly, and thus it is enabled to overlay into the same design. Also, it is easy to modify because of the elastic property of latex material. Among the special make-up techniques, flatwork can be acquired quickly and produced advanced works without difficulty. This study opens new research opportunities for the art make-up field.
