Abstract

They published the first issue of '‘Liangyou’ in October 1926, Shanghai, China and it was suspended in October 1945. It was a publication of complex issues, it covered the domestic and the foreign information, such as politics, militaries, economies, cultures, sports, fashions, women, children. It can be praised for the big contribution to people during the period. However, in the pictorial of ‘Liangyou’, the editors introduced many kinds of so called ‘Western Idea’, it contains several prejudices from the view of Asians. As well, they took the same view for Asians from the eye of Westerners, it was introduced in the process of imitating the system of Western Magazines naturally. Therefore, when they introduced the new culture, they repeatedly imitated the system of West without questions. The pictorial of ‘Liangyou’ was no exception for this problem, of course.
