Abstract
It aims to illuminate the potential of color in animation films for emotional conveyance, character personality development, and story progression. Through qualitative analysis, the study interprets the use of color in the film, particularly investigating how color influences the expression of character emotions and audience emotional responses. The results show that the use of color in 'Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse' enhances the depth and emotional richness of character images, as well as the dynamism and visual appeal of the narrative. Changes in color successfully transmit emotions and themes, enhancing audience emotional resonance and story comprehension. Moreover, strategic use of color highlights the relationships between characters and key turning points in the story, demonstrating the essential role of color in visual storytelling. This research underscores the need for a deeper exploration of the application of color psychology in animated film production and suggests that future studies collect empirical data on the impact of color on audience perception and emotional responses using quantitative methods.
