『무당내력』 류에 나타난 서울굿상과 지화

이 글은 『무당내력』처럼 서울굿의 절차를 그림과 글로 표한한 ‘『무당내력』 류’ 7종의 자료를 대상으로 내용을비교 분석하였다. 또한 위 자료들의 서울굿상 차림과 지화(紙花)에 대해 살펴보았다. 특히 무구(巫具) 중에무당이 착용하는 무복(巫服)과 파지(把持)하는 방울·부채·칼·삼지창 등의 무구 보다는 굿상의 설치와제물, 지화 등을 주목하였다. 『무당내력』 류의 굿 절차도에서 굿상과 제물(祭物)이 나타나는 굿거리는 감응청배(感應請陪)·제석거리(帝釋巨里)·별성거리(別星巨里)·대거리(大巨里)·호구거리(戶口巨里)·뒷전이다. 그 중에서도 제석거리·별성거리·대거리·호구거리에 병화(餠花) 즉, 수팔연이 장식되어있다. 이외에 조상거리(祖上巨里)·만신말명·축귀(逐鬼)·창부거리(唱婦巨里)·구릉거리(丘陵巨里) 등의 굿거리 그림이 있다. 이들 굿거리에서는 굿을 연행하는무당의 복식과 부채·방울·오방기·월도·삼지창 등 파지하고 있는 무구만 나타나고, 굿상과 지화는 없다. 서울굿은 굿상을 장식하는 지화를 보더라도 조선시대 궁중의 조화(造花)를 수용하였음을 알 수 있다. 다양한 기법과 염색을 통해 굿상을 성스럽고 화려하게 꾸며 시각적 효과를 극대화할 수 있었다. 굿상의 수팔연은 지금까지 서울굿상 차림에 영향을 미치며, 민간과 궁중문화의 융합을 이해하는 데 기초가 된다.
Abstract
I compared “Mudangnaeryeok 7 kinds” as represented in the writings and pictures of theprocedure of Seoulgut , like Mudangnaeryeok . I described and discussed the paper flowers andSeoulgut Sangcharim. I especially noted the table setting, offering and paper flowers ratherthan the shamanist costume, bell, fan, knife, three-pronged fork, etc. Among them, Jeseokgeori , Byeolseonggeori , Daegeori and Hogugeori are decorated withSupayeon . Also, there are Gutguri pictures of Josanggeori (祖上巨里), Mansinmalmyeong ,Chukgwi (逐鬼), Changbugeori (唱婦巨里), and Gureunggeori (丘陵巨里). There was no Guttable and paper flowers. In the case of paper flowers in the Seoulgut table, artificial flowers were acceptable at the royalcourt in the Joseon Dynasty. The idea was to maximize the visual effect through a variety oftechniques and dyeing. The Gut table’s Supayeon has a decisive effect on the Seoulgut table,which might be the basis of understanding and fusion between folk and royal culture.
