본 논문은 NFT(Non-Fungible Token)의 거래가능성 및 확장성에 대해 살펴보았다. NFT는 대체 불가능한 토큰을 말한다. NFT는 기존 토큰과 달리 고유한 값을 가지고 있어 하나의 토큰을 다른 특정 토큰이 대체할 수 없다. 이와 같은 성격 때문에 NFT는 디지털 자산 소유권을 보장할 수 있다. NFT 시장규모는 매년 성장하고 있다. NFT 시장에 존재하는 자산의 총가치(시가 총액)는 2018년 4096만 달러, 2019년 1억4155만 달러, 2020년 3억3803만 달러로 폭등하고 있다. 그러나 NFT는 성장단계이며 한계점을 가지고 있다. NFT는 다양한 분야에 활용될 수 있지만, 현재 특정 분야에 치우쳐 있다. 접근성 또한 풀어나가야 할 숙제이다. 본 연구자들은 NFT의 대체거래소 연계를 중심으로 NFT의 거래 가능성 및 확장성에 대해 살펴보았다.
Abstract
This paper examines the tradability and scalability of NFT (Non-Fungible Token). NFT refers to non-fungible tokens. Unlike existing tokens, NFTs have a unique value, so one token cannot be replaced by another specific token. Because of this nature, NFTs play a big role in ensuring digital asset ownership. The size of the NFT market is growing every year. The total value (market cap) of the assets existing in the NFT market is skyrocketing to $40.96 million in 2018, $141.55 million in 2019, and $338.03 million in 2020. However, NFT is a growth stage and has limitations. Although NFT can be used in various fields, it is biased towards a specific field. Accessibility is also a problem to be solved. These researchers examined the tradability and scalability of NFTs with a focus on the connection of NFTs to alternative exchanges.
