본 연구는 2022년 7월부터 2024년 6월까지의 NFT 관련 뉴스 데이터를 네트워크 분석 방법을 통해 분석하여 NFT 산업의 최신 동향을 파악하고자 하였다. 총 18,956건의 뉴스 데이터를 수집하여 분석한 결과, NFT의 활용 범위가 디지털 아트에서 마케팅, 게임, 가전 등 다양한 산업 분야로 확장되고 있음을 확인하였다. 특히 대기업들의 적극적인 NFT 도입과 새로운 비즈니스 모델 창출이 두드러졌다. 블록체인 기술과 메타버스, AI 등의 융합을 통해 NFT의 활용 가능성이 더욱 확대되고 있으며, 이는 미래 산업의 새로운 패러다임으로 자리 잡을 것으로 분석되었다. 그러나 동시에 가상자산 규제 강화 움직임, NFT 가치 평가의 어려움, 시장 불안정성 등의 과제도 존재하는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 대형 가상화폐 거래소의 파산 사태와 정치인의 투자 의혹 등으로 인해 가상자산에 대한 규제가 강화되는 추세이며, 이는 NFT 시장의 성장에도 영향을 미칠 수 있는 요인으로 작용할 것으로 보인다. 본 연구는 NFT 산업의 지속 가능한 발전을 위해 기술적, 법적, 제도적 측면에서의 개선 방안을 제시하고, 향후 연구 방향을 제안하였다. 특히 NFT의 기술적 측면에서의 확장성과 에너지 효율성 개선, 법적·제도적 측면에서의 명확한 가이드라인 수립, 그리고 NFT가 사회·문화·경제에 미치는 장기적 영향에 대한 연구의 필요성을 강조하였다.
Abstract
In this study, we analyzed NFT-related news data from July 2022 to June 2024 using network analysis methods to understand the latest trends in the NFT industry. After analyzing a total of 18,956 news articles, we confirmed that the range of NFT applications is expanding from digital art to various industrial fields such as marketing, gaming, and home appliances. Notably, the active adoption of NFTs by large corporations and the creation of new business models stood out. The potential applications of NFTs are further expanding through the convergence of blockchain technology with metaverse and AI, which is expected to establish itself as a new paradigm for future industries. However, challenges such as strengthening virtual asset regulations, difficulties in NFT value assessment, and market instability were also identified. n particular, the trend of strengthening regulations on virtual assets due to the bankruptcy of major cryptocurrency exchanges and investment allegations involving politicians is likely to affect the growth of the NFT market. This study suggests improvements in technical, legal, and institutional aspects for the sustainable development of the NFT industry and proposes future research directions. Specifically, we emphasized the need for research on improving the scalability and energy efficiency of NFTs from a technical perspective, establishing clear guidelines from legal and institutional perspectives, and the long-term impact of NFTs on society, culture, and the economy.
