본 연구는 코로나 19로 인해 비대면 온라인 교양수업이 진행된 수도권 소재 대학을 대상으로, 온라인 수업과 실시간 온라인 시험에 대한 학생들의 만족도와 인식을 살펴보고자하였다. 2022년 1학기 비대면 온라인 교양 영어 수강자 총 346명이 설문에 참여하였는데, 학생들은 비대면 온라인 수업에 대하여 만족감을 표시하였으며, 온라인 강의를 통해서 과목에 대한 이해도와 학습의 기회가 확대되었다고 응답하였다. 실시간 온라인 시험은 학교시스템을 통해서 진행되었는데, 줌으로 미리 접속한 후 학생 전체가 동시에 학교 시스템에로그인해 시험을 시작하고 종료하였다. 시험의 전 과정은 본인의 핸드폰 카메라로 촬영하도록 하였고 부정행위 방지를 위해 시험 진행 과정을 녹화하였다. 온라인 실시간 시험에대한 만족도는, 설문지 문항을 구성하여 온라인으로 확인하였다. 설문결과 학생들은 온라인 시험이 문제없이 원활히 진행되었다고 응답하였으며, 실시간 온라인 시험이 공정하였고, 온라인 시험을 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 온라인 시험의 여러 장점에도 불구하고, 부정행위 가능성에 대한 염려와 걱정이 많은 것으로 나타났다. 부정행위에 대한 우려를 완화하기 위해서는, 온라인 시험 감독이 가능한 시험환경을 조성할 필요가 있다. 특히, 미래에 재발할 수 있는 팬데믹 상황과 온라인 교육의 지속성을 고려하여, 온라인 시험을 시행하고 대비하는 방법과 노하우를 개발해야 한다. 마지막으로 이러한 연구결과를 기반으로 하여, 향후 더 나은 비대면 온라인 평가를 위한 시사점을 제공하고자 하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine students’ satisfaction and perception of online classes and real-time online tests in universities located in the metropolitan area where non-face-to-face online liberal arts classes were held due to COVID-19. A total of 346 non-face-to-face online liberal arts English students participated in the survey in the first semester of 2022, and students expressed satisfaction with the non-face-to-face online class and responded that their understanding of the subject and learning opportunities were expanded through online lectures. The real-time online test was conducted through the school system, and after accessing in advance via Zoom, all students logged in to the school system at the same time to start and end the test. The entire process of the test was taken with their cell phone camera and the test progress was recorded to prevent cheating. Satisfaction with the online real-time test was assessed by answering questionnaire questions online. As a result of the survey, students responded that the online test proceeded smoothly without any problems, that the real-time online test was fair, and that they preferred online tests. However, despite the many advantages of online exams, there are many concerns and worries about the possibility of cheating. In order to alleviate concerns about cheating, it is necessary to create a testing environment that allows for online exam proctoring. In particular, considering the pandemic situation that may recur in the future and the sustainability of online education, methods and know-how to conduct and prepare for online exams must be developed. Lastly, based on these research results, we sought to provide implications for better non-face-to-face online evaluation in the future.
