백제학 연구의 현황과 전망

1971년 무령왕릉의 발굴은 백제사 연구를 활성화시키는 촉매제 역할을 하였다. 이후 백제사를 전공하는학자들이 점차 배출되면서 많은 연구 성과들이 나왔다. 근래에는 考古學的발굴이 활발하게 이루어지면서百濟銅大香 등의 예술품, 昌王銘舍利記등 石文자료가 출토되었고, 西部後巷木簡, 支藥兒食米記목간, 佐官貸食記목간 등 목간 자료가 출토되었다. 특히 風納土城에서는 祭儀시설, 중국제 陶瓷器등 漢城都 邑期백제사의 문제점을 풀어줄 많은 유물과 유적들이 발굴되고 있다. 이러한 자료들을 바탕으로 하여 백제사의 다양한 모습을 체계적으로 파악하기 위해서는 生活史的인 관점에서의 접근도 필요하다. 백제인들이 무엇을 먹고, 무엇을 입고, 어떠한 집에서 살았으며, 어떠한 놀이를 하였고, 어떠한 思惟를 하였는가를 밝히는 것이 앞으로의 과제라 할 것이다. 나아가 기후와 식생이 당시 사람들의 삶에 어떠한 영향을 미쳤으며 백제인들이 그러한 자연환경의 변화에 어떻게 대응해 나갔느냐를 밝히는것도 필요하다. 백제는 중국으로부터 先進문화를 받아들여 자국의 문화 수준을 높였을 뿐만 아니라 이 문화를 자국의 정치적 안정과 경제적 이익을 위해 신라·가야·왜 등에 전수해 주었다. 이 과정에서 백제는 古代동아시아세계에서 중국대륙과 한반도 및 일본열도 사이에 이루어진 문화교류의 중심 거점 역할을 하였다. 따라서 백제사의 世界化를 위해서는 중국 및 일본열도에 있는 백제와 관련되는 유적과 유물을 종합적으로 조사하는 것이 필요하다.
Abstract
The excavation of Muryungwangreong(武王) in 1971 has been a catalyst for the historical research of Baekje. Since a large number of scholars majoring in Baekje history have been produced, there also have been a lot of academic achievements on Baekje History. Recently, there have been lots of archaeological discoveries. Artworks such as Baekjegeumdongdaehyangro(百濟 銅大香 ), epigraph such as Changwangsarigi(昌王銘舍利記), and wooden tablets such as Seobuhuhang(西部後 巷木簡), Ziyakasikmigi(支藥兒食米記木簡) and Zwakwandaesikgi(佐官貸食記木 簡) have been excavated. Especially, a lot of historical remains such as a ceremonial establishment and Chinese ceramics have been excavating from Pungnaptoseong(風納 土城). These are also the keys to solve the mysteries of history of Baekje in Hangseong period. To understand various aspects of Baekje history more specifically, a lifehistorical approach is also needed. It is the challenges of the future revealing the lives of people in Baekje - what they ate, where they lived, what they did in their free time, and what they thought of. It is also needed to study about the influence of climate and vegetation on their lives and how they adjusted to it. Baekje accepted the high culture from China and increased their cultural level. They transmitted this culture to Sylla, Gaya and Wa to enhance political stability and economic advantage. Baekje played a key role in cultural exchange among the Chinese Continent, the Korean Peninsula, and the Japanese Islands. To globalize the study of Baekje history, the synthetical research about historical remains related to Baekje in Chinese Continent and Japanese Islands is needed.
