수어능력 평가와 수어통역 평가의내용과 방법 고찰

이 연구에서는 외국과 한국에서 수어능력과 수어통역 능력을 평가하기 위한 선행 연구를 분석하였으며, 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 농아동의 수어능력을 평가하기 위해서는 표준화된 수어능력 검사 도구와 평정척도가 주로 사용되었고, 청인의 수어능력을 평가하기 위해서는 인터뷰와 루브릭 평정척도를 활용한 방법이 주로 사용되었다. 둘째, 수어통역 능력을 평가하기 위하여 양적 평가와 질적 평가가 모두 시도되었다. 수어통역의 양적 특성 평가를 위해서는 통역률 산출과 수어 평정척도를 활용한 방법이 주로 사용되었다. 수어통역의 질적 특성 평가를 위해서는 음성언어와 수어의 통역 간에 발생하는 표현의 특성을 단어 수준과 구나 절 수준에서 분석하는 방법이 사용되었다. 한국수어의 특성을 반영한 평가 도구를 개발하기 위해서는 한국수어학 연구와 심리측정 연구가 필요함을 제안하였다.
Abstract
This study researched the various methods for evaluating sign language competence and sign language interpretation in Korea and foreign countries. Results are followed. First, standardized evaluation tool and rating scale were usually used to evaluate sign language competence of deaf children, and interview and rubric rating scale were used to evaluate sign language competence of the hearing. Second, both of quantitative and qualitative evaluation were used to evaluate sign language interpretation ability. Interpretation accuracy and rating scale were usually used to quantitative evaluation of sign language. Expression features analysis at the level of word, phrase and sentence occurred between spoken language and sign language were used to qualitative evaluation of sign language. Henceforth task for evaluation on sign language competence and sign language interpretation ability are followed. First, it is necessary to develop sign language evaluation tool reflecting these features through studying linguistics of Korean sign language. Second, transdisciplinary researches among interpreting experts and sign language experts are necessary to evaluate sign language ability.
